Home Health Care Services

The Independence Center (The IC) specializes in long term care of people with disabilities who want to gain their independence or maintain their independence in the community. Our home care providers are trained in TIC’s independent living philosophy; “That people with disabilities have the right to make informed decisions about how and where they want to live and receive necessary medical and non-medical services.”

The IC’s Independence Home Care Services division is a Colorado State Licensed and Medicare/ Medicaid certified home care agency. We have licensed, screened and insured nurses and certified nurse aides who provide skilled medical care in the consumer’s home under agency and consumer supervision.

The IC is also a leader in providing home and community based services such as In Home Support Services (IHSS) and Personal Care Provider Services through Medicaid. IHSS is a consumer-directed Medicaid program allowing for more consumer control and management over how, when, and who provides services. Personal Care Providers provide non-skilled care for clients that qualify, such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, shopping and more.
