Skilled Nursing Services

The IC's highly experienced Skilled Nursing staff performs complete assessments of our clients to document physical and cognitive status as well as their ability to perform their own personal care functions. Just a few of the duties performed by the nurses include:  ordering medications for the clients, teaching patients about the medicines, side effects to monitor, assessing effectiveness of the drugs and compliance to medication regime; filling and maintaining medication dispensers; wound care; obtaining laboratory samples for testing per doctors orders; coordinate obtaining Durable Medical Equipment; and acting as the patient's advocate with all treating medical providers.

The nurses at The IC all enjoy interacting with clients and assisting them to be as independent as possible while maintaining a safe environment.
