Information and Referral
The Independence Center (The IC) Information and Referral services (I&R’S) bring community services and people with disabilities together.

The I&R service maintains accurate, comprehensive information about the health and human services available in the community for people with disabilities

The I&R services provide assessment and assistance based on the inquirer’s needs

The I&R service has barrier free access by phone, walk –in, email, VRS, TTY

The I&R services recognize the inquirer’s right to self-determination
-
The I&R services assure that inquirers are empowered to the extent possible
-
The I&R services provide an appropriate level of support in self –advocacy and as advocacy by IL specialists

The I&R services include a Resource Guide, and Database of community services with application process and guidelines required for services which include:
